Ha escrito numerosos libros infantiles, entre ellos The Monster Bed y la serie Dr. Xargle. También colaboró en la secuela autorizada de Winnie-the-Pooh. Ha creado guiones para programas como Polly Pocket y Dr. Darle. Vive en Londres con su esposo Ian James Wilcock, con quien se casó en 1989, y sus dos hijos.
