Erin Hunter es el seudónimo colectivo de varias escritoras británicas y estadounidenses que trabajan en conjunto en la creación de novelas juveniles de fantasía protagonizadas por animales. El grupo está integrado por Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Inbali Iserles, Tui T. Sutherland, Kasey Widhalm, Rosie Best y Gillian Philip, entre otras colaboradoras. Su serie más conocida es Los gatos guerreros, publicada por primera vez en 2003 bajo el sello HarperCollins. Holmes se encarga de elaborar las sinopsis y coordinar el desarrollo de las historias, mientras las demás autoras escriben los libros. Además de esta saga, el colectivo ha producido otras series como Seekers y Survivors, todas centradas en aventuras de animales en entornos naturales y fantásticos.
