Gabrielle Zevin nació el 24 de octubre de 1977 en Nueva York, Estados Unidos. Es escritora y guionista, reconocida por sus novelas para jóvenes y adultos que han sido traducidas a más de treinta idiomas. Hija de madre coreana y padre de ascendencia judía de Europa del Este, creció en Boca Ratón, Florida, y estudió Literatura Inglesa en la Universidad de Harvard. Su primera novela, Elsewhere, publicada en 2005, obtuvo gran éxito internacional. Más tarde alcanzó notoriedad con The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry y con Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, considerada una de las mejores novelas recientes sobre amistad, creatividad y videojuegos. Actualmente vive en Los Ángeles.
