Peter Brown es un escritor e ilustrador estadounidense nacido en Hopewell, Nueva Jersey. Estudió ilustración en el ArtCenter College of Design y se trasladó a Nueva York en 2002 para acercarse al mundo editorial. Comenzó su carrera trabajando en programas animados de televisión antes de publicar su primer libro ilustrado, Flight of the Dodo. Desde entonces ha creado numerosos títulos infantiles, entre ellos The Curious Garden, Mr. Tiger Goes Wild y la exitosa trilogía The Wild Robot. Sus obras han sido reconocidas con premios como el Caldecott Honor, el Horn Book Award y el E.B. White Award.
