Kim Ryeo-ryeong es una escritora surcoreana, nacida en Seúl en 1971. Estudió Escritura Creativa en el Instituto de las Artes de Seúl y comenzó su carrera literaria en 2007, año en el que obtuvo múltiples galardones, entre ellos el Premio Changbi de Ficción Juvenil por su aclamada novela Wandeuk Punch . Su obra se centra principalmente en la literatura infantil y juvenil, abordando problemáticas sociales y dilemas de la adolescencia. Sus novelas Wandeuk y Mentiras elegantes fueron adaptadas con éxito al cine surcoreano, mientras que su obra The Trunk fue adaptada al formato de serie de televisión.
