HORACEK PETR
Petr Horácek es un autor e ilustrador nacido en Praga, República Checa. Desde pequeño mostró interés por el arte, prefiriendo observar las ilustraciones de los libros antes que leerlos. A los 15 años ingresó en la Escuela Superior de Arte de Praga y más tarde estudió en la Academia de Bellas Artes de la misma ciudad. Tras mudarse a Inglaterra con su esposa, comenzó a crear libros infantiles inspirados por el nacimiento de su primera hija. Su obra se caracteriza por un estilo colorido, expresivo y lleno de texturas, ideal para los más pequeños. Entre sus títulos más conocidos se encuentran El ratón que se comió la luna, La oca boba y Una casa a la medida, varios de los cuales han recibido premios internacionales y han sido traducidos a múltiples idiomas. Ha sido comparado con Eric Carle por su enfoque visual y narrativo, y continúa publicando con editoriales como Juventud, manteniendo una presencia destacada en la literatura infantil contemporánea.
