Richard Powers es un novelista estadounidense nacido el 18 de junio de 1957 en Evanston, Illinois. Reconocido por su estilo literario profundo y su interés por los vínculos entre ciencia, tecnología y humanidad, ha publicado más de una docena de novelas que exploran temas como la inteligencia artificial, la ecología y la música. Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran El clamor de los bosques The Overstory , que le valió el Premio Pulitzer de Ficción en 2019, y El eco de la memoria The Echo Maker , ganadora del National Book Award en 2006.
