Cassandra Calin es una ilustradora, caricaturista y diseñadora gráfica rumano-canadiense, reconocida por sus populares webcómics Cassandra Comics, en los que retrata con humor y sinceridad las diferencias entre las expectativas y la realidad en la vida cotidiana.
Nació el 4 de noviembre de 1994 en Rumania y emigró a Canadá a los diez años, estableciéndose en Montreal. Estudió Diseño Gráfico en la Universidad de Quebec en Montreal UQAM , donde desarrolló su estilo característico, influenciado por el manga y centrado en personajes expresivos y situaciones cotidianas. Entre sus obras publicadas se destacan Still Just Kidding 2018 , I Left The House Today! 2020 y The New Girl 2024 , una novela gráfica publicada por Scholastic que se inspira en su experiencia como inmigrante. Sus cómics abordan temas como la autoestima, el cabello rizado, el estrés, la soltería y la vida escolar, conectando con lectores jóvenes de todo el mundo a través de un enfoque visual accesible y lleno de empatía.
