Fox has lived a long and happy life in the forest, but now he is tired. He lies down in his favourite clearing, and falls asleep for ever. Before long, Fox's friends begin to gather in the clearing. One by one, they tell stories of the special moments that they shared with Fox. And so, as they share their memories, a tree begins to grow, becoming bigger and stronger with each memory, sheltering and protecting all the animals in the forest, just as Fox did when he was alive.

TECKENTRUP BRITTA
Britta Teckentrup es una autora e ilustradora alemana de gran éxito internacional. Nació en Hamburgo y estudió ilustración y bellas artes en el St Martin's College y en el Royal College of Art de Londres. Ha escrito e ilustrado más de 100 libros infantiles, traducidos a 25 idiomas.
Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran El árbol de los recuerdos, Mamíferos por todas partes y Bajo el mismo cielo. Su estilo se caracteriza por ilustraciones expresivas y narrativas que transmiten emociones profundas. Ha sido finalista de premios como el Kate Greenaway Medal y el Nami Concours, además de recibir reconocimientos en la Feria del Libro de Frankfurt.
