Lucinda Riley fue una escritora y actriz británica nacida en Lisburn en 1965. Comenzó su carrera como actriz en televisión y cine, pero una enfermedad la llevó a dedicarse por completo a la escritura. Su obra más reconocida es la saga Las siete hermanas, inspirada en la mitología griega, que mezcla romance, historia y misterio, y ha sido traducida a más de treinta idiomas. Vendió millones de ejemplares en todo el mundo y colaboró con su hijo Harry Whittaker en libros infantiles. Falleció en 2021, dejando un legado literario que sigue cautivando lectores.
