Maz Evans nació en Inglaterra y es autora de literatura infantil y juvenil. Estudió escritura creativa y trabajó como guionista antes de dedicarse a la narrativa. Es conocida por las series Who Let the Gods Out?, Vi Spy y Scarlett Fife, que han sido publicadas en más de veinte países y recibieron múltiples nominaciones a premios como la Carnegie Medal y el Waterstones Children's Book of the Year.
