Chris Callaghan es un escritor británico de literatura infantil reconocido por sus obras de narrativa juvenil e infantil. Antes de dedicarse de manera profesional a la creación literaria, trabajó como ingeniero aeronáutico en la Real Fuerza Aérea británica, se desempeñó en misiones de paz de las Naciones Unidas y ejerció como científico ambiental. Alcanzó relevancia en el ámbito editorial infantil tras la publicación de su novela debut The Great Chocoplot en 2016. Posteriormente se vinculó al proyecto educativo Collins Big Cat, donde desarrolló la serie de aventuras y novelas gráficas Shinoy and the Chaos Crew, que incluye el título The Day of the Great Chase.
