BECKETT SAMUEL
Samuel Beckett nació en Dublín el 13 de abril de 1906 y murió en París el 22 de diciembre de 1989. Fue escritor, dramaturgo y poeta, considerado una de las figuras más influyentes de la literatura del siglo XX. Estudió en el Trinity College de Dublín y trabajó como profesor en la École Normale Supérieure de París antes de dedicarse por completo a la escritura. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial participó en la resistencia francesa. Su obra incluye novelas como Molloy, Malone muere y El innombrable, además de piezas teatrales como Esperando a Godot y Final de partida. En 1969 recibió el Premio Nobel de Literatura.
