Aaron Blabey nació el 1 de enero de 1974 en Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Es escritor e ilustrador de libros infantiles, además de haber trabajado como actor entre 1989 y 2005. Desde 2006 se dedica de lleno a la literatura infantil y juvenil, convirtiéndose en uno de los autores más reconocidos de su país. Es creador de exitosas series como Pig the Pug, The Bad Guys y Thelma the Unicorn, traducidas a numerosos idiomas y con millones de ejemplares vendidos en todo el mundo. En 2012 fue nombrado embajador de la literatura australiana. Actualmente vive en Australia con su familia y continúa publicando nuevas obras.
