RUIZ ZAFON CARLOS
Carlos Ruiz Zafón nació en Barcelona el 25 de septiembre de 1964 y estudió en el colegio de los Jesuitas de Sarrià antes de cursar periodismo en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Trabajó en publicidad y en 1992 decidió dedicarse a la escritura. Su primera novela, El príncipe de la niebla, apareció en 1993 y obtuvo el premio Edebé de literatura juvenil. Posteriormente publicó títulos como Marina y la serie iniciada con La sombra del viento en 2001, que alcanzó gran difusión internacional. Desde 1994 residió en Los Ángeles, donde también escribió guiones. Falleció el 19 de junio de 2020 en esa ciudad.
