Vivian French Bedfordshire, 1945 es una escritora británica de literatura infantil y juvenil, autora de más de 250 libros que incluyen álbumes ilustrados, novelas, obras de teatro y no ficción. Entre sus títulos más conocidos figuran Oliver's Vegetables y la serie The Tiara Club. Ha trabajado como actriz y promotora cultural, además de colaborar en proyectos educativos y comunitarios. Reside entre Bristol y Edimburgo, donde también ejerce como narradora oral y profesora universitaria, consolidándose como una de las voces más influyentes en la literatura infantil contemporánea.
