REYNOLDS FRANCES
Frances Reynolds, nacida el 10 de mayo de 1729 en Plympton, Devon, y fallecida el 1 de noviembre de 1807 en Londres, fue una pintora británica especializada en retratos y miniaturas. Hermana menor del pintor Sir Joshua Reynolds, administró el hogar de este en Londres entre 1752 y 1778. Realizó copias de las obras de su hermano y retrató a figuras destacadas de la época, como el lexicógrafo Samuel Johnson. Redactó el ensayo histórico-estético Enquiry Concerning the Principles of Taste, impreso de forma privada en 1785 y publicado formalmente en 1951 por la Augustan Reprint Society.
