Studio Ghibli es un estudio japonés de animación fundado el 15 de junio de 1985 en Tokio por los directores Hayao Miyazaki e Isao Takahata, junto al productor Toshio Suzuki. La empresa se constituyó tras el estreno de Nausicaä del Valle del Viento en 1984, siendo El castillo en el cielo su primer largometraje oficial en 1986.
