Charles M. Schulz is a legend. He was the hand and heart behind fifty years of Peanuts, which featured one of the world's most beloved and recognizable casts of cartoon characters, until his death in 2000.

Charles Monroe Schulz nació el 26 de noviembre de 1922 en Minneapolis, Minnesota, Estados Unidos, y falleció el 12 de febrero de 2000 en Santa Rosa, California. Estudió en St. Paul Central High School y en Art Instruction Schools, donde se formó como dibujante. Tras colaborar con revistas como Saturday Evening Post, en 1950 creó la historieta Peanuts, protagonizada por Charlie Brown, Snoopy y otros personajes, que se publicó diariamente hasta el año 2000. Su obra alcanzó difusión mundial y fue adaptada a series de televisión y películas. Schulz sirvió en el ejército durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y tuvo cinco hijos.
