SWARUP VIKAS
Vikas Swarup nació en Allahabad, India, en 1963, en una familia de abogados, y estudió Historia, Psicología y Filosofía en la Universidad de Allahabad. Ingresó en el servicio diplomático indio y desempeñó funciones en Turquía, Estados Unidos, Etiopía, Reino Unido, Sudáfrica y Japón, donde fue Cónsul General en Osaka-Kobe entre 2009 y 2013, además de portavoz del Ministerio de Asuntos Externos en Nueva Delhi. Durante su estancia en Londres escribió su primera novela, Q A, publicada en 2005 y traducida a numerosos idiomas, que inspiró la película Slumdog Millionaire. Está casado con Aparna y tiene dos hijos, Aditya y Varun.
