Yoko Ogawa es una escritora japonesa nacida en Okayama en 1962. Estudió en la Universidad de Waseda y comenzó a publicar en 1988. Su obra abarca novela, cuento y ensayo, con un estilo delicado y perturbador. Ha recibido premios como el Akutagawa y el Tanizaki.
