Las Mentiras de Locke Lamora, mi primera novela, fue adquirida por Simon Spanton en Orion Books en agosto de 2004. Me formé en extinción de incendios básica en el Anoka Technical College en 2005 y me convertí en bombero voluntario en junio de ese mismo año.
En 2007, Las mentiras de Locke Lamora fue finalista del Premio Mundial de Fantasía.
En 2008, recibí el Premio Sydney J. Bounds a la Mejor Revelación de la Sociedad Británica de Fantasía.
En 2010, perdí un matrimonio, pero conseguí un gato, una encantadora bola de ego y pelusa conocida como Musicus Maximus Butthead Rex I.
Mi pareja, la encantadora y aclamada escritora de ciencia ficción y fantasía Elizabeth Bear, vive en Massachusetts.
