Sarah Janet Maas Nueva York, 5 de marzo de 1986 es una escritora de fantasía estadounidense. Su novela debut, Trono de Cristal, fue publicada en 2012 por Bloomsbury y en España por la editorial Alfaguara ese mismo año.
Maas empezó a escribir Trono de Cristal cuando tenía dieciséis años. Después de escribir varios capítulos de la novela, los subió a la web fictionpress.com, donde se hizo popular, aunque más tarde los borró para intentar publicar la novela.
