Jane Austen nació el 16 de diciembre de 1775 en Steventon, Hampshire, Inglaterra, y murió el 18 de julio de 1817 en Winchester. Fue novelista y escribió obras que retratan la vida cotidiana y las relaciones sociales de su tiempo.
