Ziggy Marley, cuyo nombre de nacimiento es David Nesta Marley, nació el 17 de octubre de 1968 en Kingston, Jamaica, hijo del legendario músico Bob Marley y de Rita Marley. Desde joven estuvo inmerso en la música reggae y formó la banda Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers junto a sus hermanos, alcanzando reconocimiento internacional. Ha desarrollado una exitosa carrera como solista, obteniendo múltiples premios Grammy por sus álbumes. Además de su faceta musical, se ha destacado como autor de libros infantiles y como activista social, fundando la organización benéfica U.R.G.E. para apoyar proyectos educativos y comunitarios. Vive en Miami con su familia.
