Rebecca Lewis-Oakes nació y creció en Oxford, Belfast y Cheshire, y más tarde estudió Clásicos en la Universidad de Oxford. Durante más de diez años trabajó como editora en el ámbito editorial antes de dedicarse de manera independiente a la escritura. Es autora y coautora de numerosos libros infantiles, incluyendo la serie Naughtiest Unicorn escrita bajo el seudónimo Pip Bird junto con Liz Bankes. También ha publicado títulos de no ficción como Mythical Science en 2022 y ha escrito libros de actividades y humor.
