SPIEGELMAN ART
Art Spiegelman nació el 15 de febrero de 1948 en Estocolmo, Suecia, y emigró a Estados Unidos con su familia judía polaca en 1951. Es un historietista, editor e ilustrador reconocido por su novela gráfica Maus, en la que retrata el Holocausto a través de animales antropomórficos. Comenzó su carrera en la industria del cómic en los años 60 y ganó notoriedad en el circuito underground en los 70. Fue coeditor de la influyente revista Raw y colaborador de The New Yorker durante una década. En 1992 recibió un premio Pulitzer especial por Maus. Está casado con la diseñadora Françoise Mouly y es padre de la escritora Nadja Spiegelman.
