John Gallagher es el director artístico de la revista "Ranger Rick" de la Federación Nacional de Vida Silvestre y dibuja cómics desde los cinco años John aprendió a leer cómics y llegó a ganarse la distinción de leer todos los libros de la biblioteca de su escuela primaria . John también es cofundador de "Kids Love Comics" una organización dedicada a usar novelas gráficas para promover la alfabetización y dirige talleres para enseñar a los niños a crear sus propios cómics. John vive en Virginia con su esposa y sus tres hijos.
