TRAVERS P. L.
Pamela Lyndon Travers, nacida Helen Lyndon Goff el 9 de agosto de 1899 en Maryborough, Australia, fue escritora, actriz y periodista. Se trasladó a Inglaterra en 1924, donde adoptó el seudónimo P. L. Travers. En 1934 publicó Mary Poppins, obra que la hizo mundialmente famosa. Nunca se casó ni tuvo hijos biológicos, pero adoptó a un niño. Continuó escribiendo literatura infantil y fue nombrada Oficial de la Orden del Imperio Británico en 1977. Falleció en Londres el 23 de abril de 1996.
