Todd Parr nació el 9 de julio de 1962 en Rock Springs, Wyoming, Estados Unidos. Es autor, ilustrador, animador y productor de televisión, conocido por sus libros infantiles que promueven la diversidad, la tolerancia y el amor propio. Antes de dedicarse a la literatura, trabajó como asistente de vuelo y artista. En 1999 publicó su primer libro, The Okay Book, y desde entonces ha escrito más de 60 títulos traducidos a múltiples idiomas. También creó la serie animada ToddWorld, nominada a un Emmy. Vive en California, donde comparte su vida con sus perros adoptados y participa activamente en causas sociales relacionadas con la infancia, la salud y el bienestar animal.
