Suzy Lee es una autora e ilustradora surcoreana nacida el 9 de febrero de 1974 en Seúl. Estudió Pintura en la Universidad Nacional de Seúl y obtuvo una maestría en Libros de Arte en el Camberwell College of Arts en Londres. Es reconocida internacionalmente por sus libros ilustrados sin palabras, también conocidos como libros silenciosos, que exploran la frontera entre la realidad y la fantasía. Su trilogía más famosa, compuesta por Mirror, Wave y Shadow, utiliza el pliegue central del libro como elemento narrativo. Wave y Shadow fueron seleccionados por The New York Times como los mejores libros ilustrados infantiles en 2008 y 2010 respectivamente.
