HUGO VICTOR
Nació en Besançon en 1802. Niño precoz, se iniciaba realmente literario en 1822 con su primera obra poética: Odas y poesías diversas. Ese mismo año se casaba con Adèle Foucher, con quien tendría cuatro hijos. Desde muy pronto también tuvo una presencia activa en la escena política francesa.
Escritor, poeta y dramaturgo, Víctor Hugo es uno de los grandes autores de todos los tiempos y claro ejemplo del estilo romántico propio del siglo XIX. Además de Los miserables, su obra magna, entre su narrativa destacan Nuestra Señora de París, Hojas de otoño o El rey se divierte. Notables son también sus obras históricas, como Cromwell, y algunas de sus obras de teatro entre las que destaca Hernani.
