CERRIE BURNELL
Author Cerrie Burnell grew up immersed in a world of stories, which her family lovingly read to her. She dreamed of chasing white rabbits to wonderland, turning right at the second star, and flying straight on till morning. Then discovering enchanted lands at the top of the faraway tree.
But she never quite found herself in any of these stories. Because none of the children in those books looked like her. Moreover, none of them had a disability they were accepting of or proud of. Many years later, after Cerrie had become a mum to her glorious duel heritage daughter. Next she decided to become an author who celebrates difference and champions inclusion. Telling joyful, lyrical, lesser known stories with diversity at their heart.
