SAOU ICHIKAWA
Saou Ichikawa es una escritora japonesa nacida en 1979. Es conocida por su novela Hunchback, que ganó el prestigioso Premio Akutagawa en 2023, convirtiéndola en la primera autora con discapacidad física en recibir este reconocimiento.
Ichikawa padece miopatía congénita, una condición que afecta sus músculos, por lo que usa una silla de ruedas y un respirador desde los 13 años. Su novela Hunchback aborda la vida de una mujer con discapacidad que desafía las normas sociales y critica el capacitismo y el sexismo.
