BASS JULES
Jules Bass fue un director, productor, compositor y escritor estadounidense nacido el 16 de septiembre de 1935 en Filadelfia, Pensilvania. Se educó en la Universidad de Nueva York y comenzó su carrera en una agencia de publicidad antes de fundar Videocraft International, que luego se convirtió en Rankin Bass Productions junto a Arthur Rankin Jr..
Bass es conocido por su trabajo en animación stop-motion, especialmente en clásicos navideños como Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town y Frosty the Snowman. También dirigió películas como Mad Monster Party y The Daydreamer. Además, escribió libros infantiles, incluyendo Herb, el dragón vegetariano.
Falleció el 25 de octubre de 2022 en Rye, Nueva York, a los 87 años, debido a un cáncer de esófago.
