Alice May Oseman nació el 16 de octubre de 1994 en Chatham, Kent, Reino Unido. Es escritora, ilustradora y guionista británica especializada en literatura juvenil. Publicó su primera novela, Solitaire, en 2014 con solo 19 años, y desde entonces ha escrito Radio Silence, I Was Born for This y Loveless, además de crear la exitosa novela gráfica Heartstopper, que fue adaptada como serie por Netflix. Sus obras abordan temas como la salud mental, la identidad LGBTQ y las presiones académicas. Se graduó en Literatura Inglesa en la Universidad de Durham en 2016 y se identifica como persona asexual y arromántica.
