JUNIPER TONY
Tony Juniper es un ambientalista, escritor y asesor de sostenibilidad británico. Nació el 24 de septiembre de 1960 y ha dedicado más de 40 años a la defensa de la naturaleza. Actualmente, es presidente de Natural England, la organización gubernamental encargada de la conservación del medio ambiente en Inglaterra.
A lo largo de su carrera, Juniper ha trabajado en diversas iniciativas ecológicas, incluyendo campañas globales y asesoramiento a líderes políticos y empresariales. Fue director ejecutivo de Friends of the Earth en Inglaterra, Gales e Irlanda del Norte, y vicepresidente de Friends of the Earth International. También ha escrito varios libros sobre ecología y sostenibilidad, como ¿Qué ha hecho la naturaleza por nosotros? y Cómo estamos acabando con el planeta.
Además de su trabajo en conservación, Juniper ha sido un defensor de la protección de especies en peligro, especialmente los loros. Participó en esfuerzos para salvar el guacamayo de Spix, una de las aves más raras del mundo.
