Liz's books include Eden Summer nominated for the Carnegie Medal , Dragon Daughter Winner of the Leeds Book Award and the Calderdale Book of the Year Award Rise of the Shadow Dragons May 2020 and the Wildsmith series, illustrated by Joe Todd-Stanton.
Her stories are exciting and gripping, whether they are fantasy Wildsmith and Legends of the Sky series or contemporary realism Eden Summer, set in her home town of Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire .
Liz loves to meet her readers and often runs workshops and school assemblies. She would have loved to be a wildsmith who can talk to animals, or to find a bag of dragon eggs - like Milla in Dragon Daughter. She has to make do instead with her dogs, her cat, and a whole series of foster kittens.
