THE ARTIST. Catrin Welz-Stein's work is characterised by a sense of whimsy and wonder, as can be seen in this moonlit vision. The fantasy landscape illuminated by twinkling stars shows a fresh, green world from which the moon can be pulled closer. The image evokes a feeling of nostalgia for bedtime stories, full of characters who could make anything possible.
THE FINAL WORD. As William Morris said, "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
