Stephanie Garber nació el 8 de julio de 1987 en Carolina del Norte, Estados Unidos. Es autora de literatura juvenil de ficción y alcanzó reconocimiento internacional con la trilogía Caraval, compuesta por Caraval, Legendary y Finale. Posteriormente publicó la trilogía Érase una vez un corazón roto, también traducida al español. En 2025 inició una nueva saga dirigida al público adulto con la novela La alquimia de los secretos. Garber trabajaba en una universidad cuando comenzó a escribir en su tiempo libre y más tarde impartió clases de escritura creativa en el norte de California. Sus obras han sido publicadas por Ediciones Urano, sello Puck.
