SEWELL ANNA
Anna Sewell fue una escritora inglesa nacida en 1820, conocida por su única novela, Azabache  Black Beauty , publicada en 1877. Debido a una lesión en su juventud, dependió de carruajes tirados por caballos, lo que despertó en ella una profunda empatía por estos animales. Su obra, narrada desde la perspectiva de un caballo, denuncia el maltrato animal en la Inglaterra victoriana y se convirtió en un clásico de la literatura infantil y en un llamado a la compasión. Sewell falleció en 1878, poco después de ver publicada su novela.
