Britta Teckentrup es una autora e ilustradora alemana de gran éxito internacional. Nació en Hamburgo y estudió ilustración y bellas artes en el St Martin's College y en el Royal College of Art de Londres. Ha escrito e ilustrado más de 100 libros infantiles, traducidos a 25 idiomas.
Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran El árbol de los recuerdos, Mamíferos por todas partes y Bajo el mismo cielo. Su estilo se caracteriza por ilustraciones expresivas y narrativas que transmiten emociones profundas.
