HARRISON VASHTI
Vashti Harrison nació en 1988 en Virginia, Estados Unidos, hija de padre afroamericano y madre originaria de Trinidad y Tobago. Estudió en la Universidad de Virginia donde obtuvo el título de grado y posteriormente realizó una maestría en cine y video en el California Institute of the Arts. Es escritora, ilustradora y cineasta, residente en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Ha publicado obras como Little Leaders, Little Dreamers y Little Legends, además de ilustrar libros como Sulwe de Lupita Nyong'o y Hair Love de Matthew A. Cherry. En 2024 recibió la Medalla Caldecott por su libro Big.
