FRANK ANA
Annelies Marie Frank, conocida como Ana Frank, nació el 12 de junio de 1929 en Fráncfort del Meno, Alemania. Su familia, de origen judío, estaba formada por su padre Otto Heinrich Frank, su madre Edith Hollander y su hermana Margot. En 1933 emigraron a Ámsterdam para huir de la persecución nazi. El 6 de julio de 1942 la familia Frank, junto a los Van Pels llamados Van Daan en su diario y el dentista Fritz Pfeffer, se ocultó en la Casa de Atrás de un edificio de oficinas, donde Ana comenzó a escribir su diario íntimo dirigido a "Kitty". Permanecieron escondidos hasta el 4 de agosto de 1944, cuando la Gestapo descubrió su escondite y los deportó primero al campo de concentración de Auschwitz el 2 de septiembre de 1944 y luego al de Bergen-Belsen. Ana murió de tifus en febrero o marzo de 1945, poco antes de cumplir 16 años. En 1947 su padre publicó Het Achterhuis en neerlandés, traducido al español como El diario de Ana Frank, que se convirtió en uno de los testimonios más emblemáticos del Holocausto.
