Chris Whitaker es un escritor británico de novela criminal nacido en Londres en 1981. Actualmente vive en Hertfordshire junto a su esposa e hijos y trabaja en una biblioteca local.
Debutó en el mundo literario en 2016 con Tall Oaks, novela con la que ganó el prestigioso premio CWA John Creasey New Blood Dagger Award. Desde entonces, ha publicado otros títulos como All the Wicked Girls y Empezamos por el final, con el que obtuvo el CWA Gold Dagger Award en 2021. Su obra más reciente, Todos los colores de la oscuridad, explora el secuestro de un niño en un pueblo de Misuri en los años 70, llevando al límite las premisas del noir americano.
