A VOYAGE TOWARDS THE SOUTH POLE 1822-1824
Although the voyage was conceived as a commercial venture, A Voyage Towards the South Pole reveals much more: a tale steeped in strangeness, where islands vanish as you approach, animals hide, and giants turn out to be quite short. More than a utilitarian chronicle, it is the sensitive and tenacious testimony of a man attentive to everything around him.
