Nacida en 1993, Cheon Seon-ran es graduada de la Universidad de Dankook y de la Escuela de Artes de Anyang. A menudo sueña con un mundo donde los humanos se conviertan en una minoría rodeada de flora y fauna, y con cómo podría ser el fin del mundo. Plasmó estos pensamientos en esta novela, la cual fue galardonada con el 4. Premio de Literatura de Ciencia Ficción de Corea. A Thousand Blues ha sido adaptada como musical teatral en Corea y se publicará en todo el mundo.
