Judith Kerr fue una escritora e ilustradora británica nacida en Berlín en 1923. De origen judío, huyó con su familia del régimen nazi y se estableció en Inglaterra. Trabajó en la BBC y escribió libros infantiles que se volvieron clásicos, como "Cuando Hitler robó el conejo rosa" y la serie de Mog. Su obra combina ternura con temas profundos como el exilio y la memoria. Fue reconocida con premios como el BookTrust Lifetime Achievement Award y la Orden del Imperio Británico. Falleció en Londres en 2019 a los 95 años, dejando un legado literario que sigue conmoviendo a generaciones.
