OSBORNE MARY POPE
Mary Pope Osborne nació el 20 de mayo de 1949 en Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Hija de un militar, vivió en distintos lugares durante su infancia, incluyendo Austria y varios estados de EE.UU. Estudió Arte Dramático y Religiones Comparadas en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte. Tras graduarse, viajó por Asia y vivió en Creta, experiencias que influyeron profundamente en su obra. En 1976 se casó con Will Osborne, con quien ha colaborado en varios libros. Es autora de más de cien títulos, entre ellos la exitosa serie infantil La casa mágica del árbol, traducida a más de veinte idiomas. Fue presidenta de la Authors Guild entre 1993 y 1997 y ha recibido numerosos premios por su contribución a la literatura infantil.
