In January, two mice, Willie and Winnie, make a new friend: a tree. The tree tells them her name is Woody, and the mice promise to visit her all year round. Leo Lionni fue un escritor e ilustrador italoamericano nacido en Ámsterdam en 1910. Reconocido por revolucionar la literatura infantil con su estilo artístico basado en el collage, creó más de 40 libros para niños, entre ellos Swimmy, Frederick y Pequeño Azul y Pequeño Amarillo. Su obra combina sencillez visual con profundas fábulas sobre la vida, la comunidad y la creatividad. Falleció en Italia en 1999, dejando un legado que sigue inspirando a lectores de todas las edades.
